We’re looking for an Operations and Marketing intern and it could be you!

About Urban Cordial…

We are a mission-led business that rescues beautifully fresh British fruit and transforms it into delicious fruit cordials, with at least 50% less sugar than other brands currently available to consumers.

We support small British farms by purchasing their fresh produce that would otherwise be wasted to tackle and raise awareness of food waste in a delicious way.

We are currently listed with Farm Drop, The Whiskey Exchange, Melrose and Morgan and are on the menus at The Ledbury, Drake and Morgan and a host of deli’s, farm shops, garden centres, bars and restaurants.

What you’ll get up to…

Your primary job role will be to support Urban Cordial in running the operational side of the business, from production to fulfilment, as well as increase helping to promote our brand to a wider audience that will enable us to grow.

Attitude is everything…

You’ll need to be a real people person, that loves chatting about our products and building relationships with others. You’ll definitely need a ‘get up and go’ attitude and a positive and flexible approach to all your tasks.

You will be supporting Urban Cordial on:

  • Production of our small-batch cordials
  • Fulfilment of orders
  • Helping to develop a marketing strategy
  • Collating social media content
  • Develop relationships with increasing rate of sale in all of our accounts.
  • Sending out samples to our potential accounts (this is a vital task to Urban Cordial’s success!)
  • Researching potential new clients and markets for our products.
  • Attending trade shows and events and representing the company.
  • General admin support
  • Executing in-store samplings at our outlets and retailers when necessary

NB: your role will be based in our store and production unit at least 50% of the time.

What we’re looking for…

  • Demonstrable experience in either in a start-up or for a food brand.
  • A positive attitude, particularly to new tasks and problem solving.
  • You are driven and have entrepreneurial spirit, not letting anything dampen your energy and will push through to achieve results.
  • Self-motivated people person who is proactive and likes to get stuff done
  • You’ll also be happy to work autonomously and remotely.
  • A passionate foodie who believes in our mission
  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, flexible and keen to learn.

Compensation – £7.50/ hour
